We will have a short snack everyday.  Only healthy snacks are allowed at WES. No drinks. Snack time will only last about 10 minutes.

    My students need to be in my class by 7:25 a.m. each morning.  I will allow a few minutes for them to sharpen pencils, give me notes and/or money, use the restrooms, get water, and get settled for the day. 

Attendance:  Your child needs to be in school everyday.  If your child is sick, please have someone come by to pick up his/her work.  My students are required to work on this work the next day if someone does not arrive to get it.  Also, I need a note explaining why your child was absent.  This has to be turned into the office.  This year we will be keeping up with children that leave early.  The report cards will have a place for: late arrivals, days absent, and early dismissal. 

  We use a lot of pencils, crayons, and erasers.  Please buy cheap and in bulk.  Your child needs to have at least 3 sharpened pencils in his/her box at all times.  Please keep a set of supplies at home for homework.  This includes:  pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors, and glue. 

 

      Please check your child’s homework folder everyday.  All work done during the day is checked and sent  home.  This folder is also packed with schoolwork, notices from the office, special events, book orders, as well as important notes from me.  Please send the empty folder back each day.

 

All students that are car riders must be picked up at the Kindergarten end of the building.  For safety reasons, we cannot allow students to be picked up behind my room.  If your child must leave early, you must sign in and sign your child out in the office.
