tax- money that is collected by a government

factory- a building where people produce goods

trade- to buy, sell, or exchange goods

transportation- a way of moving goods or people from place to place

barter- to trade a good or service for another good or service without using money

compass rose- shows directions on a map, north, south, east, and west

• Things that link countries: airplane, trucks, ships, trains

• Needs/Wants:  Needs: clothes, food, shelter, water Wants: toys, pets, cars, rugs

• Steps in making a decision: 1. Tell what decision you need to make.  2.  Gather information        3.  List your choices. 4.  Tell what might happen with each choice.  5.  Make a decision.
